Biography
Deborah was born in Port Augusta and lived on the Coondambo Station in the northern tip of the South Australia during her early childhood. After being a seamstress for 30 years, I hankered for more, a career change. I studied Cabinetmaking for 3 years, which included wood carving. I have dabbled with a variety of mediums over the years. Once I enrolled at Adelaide Central School of Art I have not looked back, I feel like I have finally come home.
I am passionate about creating art; the psychology behind what makes me as an artist tick, and how I assess the world through my art.
Traditionally, I have used the body as metaphor, while using a meditative process during the act of painting. I am interested in the psychological interaction between myself as the artist and that of the viewer.
Deborah currently works and resides in Adelaide. As a working artist my works consist of Paintings, Drawings, Mixed Media, Printmaking and Sculptures
